Solar Foods, renowned for producing Solein, which it claims is the world’s most sustainable protein, recently secured a spot in the Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) by the European Commission. The project, focused on hydrogen value chain development, emphasizes research, innovation, and infrastructure construction. Solein, cultivated using renewable electricity and air-derived ingredients, is set to lead the way in hydrogen fermentation, with a new facility in Vantaa, Southern Finland.

In the Tex-Mex arena, Paulig’s new 45 million-euro tortilla production plant in Belgium represents the company’s largest investment outside Finland.
